Artist Statement

My works mainly focus on observing and discussing the seemingly contradictory properties of objects -  softness and sharpness. I am an artist with a background in queer art and feminism. In my works, I usually use the characteristics of materials and text to express these ideas, while developing my own personal language. I use a childish style as my main drawing feature to express my sense of belonging in drawing and personal narrative in my creation. At the same time, my work is also influenced by unconscious surrealism. I combine different elements to express the mysterious aspects of life.

In my work, the body becomes a place where memory, desire, and trauma converge. It is a shifting terrain that moves constantly between fragility and resistance. Through physical engagement with materials, I explore how we carry traces of others within us, and how intimacy can be both suffocating and regenerative.

By placing personal mythology alongside shared experience, my work asks whether healing emerges from resistance or from surrender. It is always moving between being fragile and being strong, between private and public, between wounds and recovery.
